Tom Hardy Is Going To Cause HAVOC

Tom Hardy, one eyebrow raises. In a movie by Gareth Evans, both eyebrows go up. Evans is known for one of the best action movies ever, The Raid, and the TV series Gangs of London. This new movie, Havoc, consider our interests piqued.

Empire Magazine has recently released some images of the new movie. They aren’t giving much away, but it looks like some good action.

According to reports, Havoc finished filming over 4 years ago. Evans has said that there were some scheduling issues with filming additional scenes. Certain actors were not available at the same time, but he said not to worry:

“It’s had a profound effect on the film. It allowed me to better streamline it and make it what it was always intended to be, which is a blistering, fast-paced action-thriller with nods to the Hong Kong cinema that I grew up watching.”

Havoc stars Tom Hardy, Timothy Olyphant, Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzman, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Narges Rashidi and Richard Harrington. Evans is the writer and director. The story is:

After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective must fight his way through the criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, unravelling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.

Evans does action well; he does action very well. The Raid, and the sequel, are awesome action movies. The fights are insane and there is a good story to follow. Gangs of London is the same. It started to tail a little near the end of the last season, but overall, it was a damn good show.

Havoc will be on Netflix early next year. Hardy is currently starring in Vemon: The Last Dance at the cinema.
