If movies teach us anything, it’s not to live in streets with a tree in the title; look what happened on Elm Street. However, something weird is going on at The End of Oak Street.
Yes, I know it mentions J. J. Abrams, but only as a producer. The rest of this trailer looks interesting. I did love how you thought it was a ghost story, but then boom, it’s something very different.
The End of Oak Street stars Ewan McGregor, Anne Hathaway, Christian Convery, Chris Coy, Maisy Stella, P. J. Bryne, and Bethany Anne Lind. David Robert Mitchell is the writer and director who is best known for It Follows, as the trailer says.
On a side note, he’s working on a sequel to It Follows at the moment. Back to The End of Oak Street, the story:
The Platt family bands together to navigate their new surroundings after a cosmic event transports their suburban neighborhood to someplace unknown.
Production started in March 2024, filming in Atlanta and London. So far, the movie has had a couple of delays for release, originally slated for May 2025, then to March 2026.
The End of Oak Street will finally be in cinemas on the 14th Aug.
