The new version was written by Poor Things and The Favorite scribe Tony McNamara. This version follows Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch). On the face of it they are a picture-perfect couple who have successful careers, great kids and an enviable sex life.
All that changes when Theo’s professional dreams come crashing down just as Ivy’s career takes off. This sets of a tinderbox of grievance, competition and resentment that drives them to conflict as their mariage falls apart with material possessions becoming the center of an outrageous and bitter divorce battle.
