Wonder Man follows actor Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as he’s thrust into the world of superheroes, getting powers of his own, and becoming the superhero known as Wonder Man. On screen and off screen.
It all begins, and very quickly gets complicated, when it is announced that a modern-day film reboot of a classic superhero TV series property will be helmed by legendary filmmaker Von Kovak (Zlatko Burić), who is coming out of retirement to direct.
Sir Ben Kingsley reprises his role from Iron Man and Shang Chi as Trevor Slattery, who is something of a friend/mentor to Simon. Both are pursuing roles in the new project.
Demetrius Grosse co-stars as Simon’s brother, Eric Williams (aka Grim Reaper), and Ed Harris as talent agent Neal Saroyan. Daniel Destin Cretton and Stella Meghie each direct several episodes from scripts by Andrew Guest as the head writer.
All eight episodes of Wonder Man will be available for streaming on January 27th.
