We saw the teaser to Squid Games 2 recently, well now there is a trailer.
I didn’t finish the first season, it was far to predictable. Oh all, all of the main cast are on one side, extras on the other…I wonder who wins? Watching this trailer for season 2, it looks exactly the same as season 1.
This trailer for Squid Games 2 was released to fans at the Lucca Comics & Games event in Italy. We see that guy, who used to be known as the ‘Squid Game guy’, who’s now known as ‘That guy from The Acolyte’. Once again, actor Lee Jung-jae is back in the game, reprising his role with a similar approach as before; however, this time around, he appears far more prepared.
The main difference between this and the first season is, it looks like the contestants can vote to stay in and play. As the game goes on, the potential of more money is more tempting.
The official blurb on season 2 is:
“Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”
While the 45 billion is in yen, making it about $295 million, that’s still a substantial prize. Of course, you’d have to share it with other contestants, so there’s always a catch. Meanwhile, new images are circulating online as well.
Did you like Squid Games season 1? Will you be watching season 2 on the 26th December on Netflix?
