Late Autumn is always trailer jackpot time. For those of you who are devotees of the art of the movie tease, it is when we often get our first real look at the blockbusters planned for following summer. A well-crafted trailer really is an art form. We have seen everything from Captain America to Mission: Impossible start their sales pitches this week, so what about Superman?
The trailer has always been expected around about now. Gunn had confirmed it in several conversations with fans on Threads.
After the trailer-palooza of the last few days, a fan asked him directly why we haven’t seen the Superman trailer yet, especially with two big Marvel movies and a new Cruise blockbuster releasing their trailers. Gunn confirmed:
“It’s on my hard drive. But, seriously, all three of those projects come out months before us.”
There is some debate over when the trailer will arrive, exactly. Some money is on the CCXP Expo in São Paulo, Brazil in the first week of December. Warner Bros. Discovery will be there and could have a panel.
The guys over at CBM say not so fast! They think the trailer will drop on Christmas Day during one of the scheduled NBA games.
Wait… NBA games on Christmas Day? What is wrong with people!
Superman arrives in theaters next July.
