Joe Carnahan usually brings the fun. From Smokin’ Aces to The A-Team, there is usually a little lunacy in his work that raises a smile. Now Lionsgate has released the official trailer for his next action-thriller – Shadow Force.
Shadow Force follows Kyrah and Isaac, once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force, who broke the rules by falling in love. They go underground to protect their son with the rest of the Shadow Force hot on their trail.
With a large bounty on their heads, one family’s fight becomes an all-out war.
The movie features Kerry Washington as Kyrah and Omar Sy as Isaac along with Mark Strong, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Yoson An, Natalia Reyes, and Sala Baker.
Carnahan directs. He co-wrote the screenplay with Leon Chills.
Producers are Washington, Stephen “Dr.” Love, and Sterling K. Brown.
It was filmed in 2022, largely in Colombia.
Shadow Force gets a cinematic release on May 2nd, the same day as Marvel’s Thunderbolts.
