DC-Clayface

CLAYFACE First Trailer

After Superman last summer, Supergirl and Lanterns rolling out this summer, and with Man Of Tomorrow shooting right now, the DCU can dive back into some of the more special interest characters again, like Clayface.

Good things were heard about the script, that made DC Studios push it to the front of the production queue.

It also has a budget of around $40 million, which is in keeping with DCs tighter cost control mantra and basically a bargain compared to normal superhero fare.

This all makes it one of the most interesting projects in among the deluge of cape movies coming in the next couple of years.

Now, we get our first look as DC Studios has released the trailer.

Alongside the trailer, they have also released a look at some collateral from the movie. First up is an image of a medical journal that seems to hint at the science behind the coming chaos:

Then there is a news stand poster covering the events that kick off what is to come:

Clayface follows the character origin from Batman: The Animated Series, from the well-regarded two-parter Feet Of Clay.

Tom Rhys Harries plays Matt Hagen, an actor whose life changes after a gangster disfigures him.

James Watkins helms the film. CinemaCon attendees previously saw exclusive footage that reportedly leaned into the body horror elements of the character.

Clayface arrives in theaters on October 23rd.
