Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx are Back in Action, after not being in action. We reported a while back that Diaz was going into semi-retirement, but that didn’t last long. Here is a trailer for Netflix’s Back in Action.
I’m not sure about the chemistry between Diaz and Foxx, but it could be fun. There are cars blowing up, that’s a good thing, right? Explosions, we like explosions, right guys?
Back in Action stars Diaz, Foxx, Andrew Scott, Kyle Chandler, Robert Besta and Glenn Close. Fiver says Close is the bad guy. Seth Gordon is the writer and director, and Brendan O’Brien co-writes. Gordan is known for movies like Baywatch, Identity Thief and Horrible Bosses.
The story is:
Former CIA spies Emily and Matt are pulled back into espionage after their secret identities are exposed.
Nothing hugely original there, but it looks like a safe comedy action movie. It’s Diaz’s first movie for a decade. Oddly, she last appeared with Foxx in the remake of Annie. I wouldn’t show my face after that either.
Foxx had also starred with Diaz in Any Given Sunday and was happy to be back working with her.

Whatever Jamie! We all wish we could make friends with Diaz as well, but some of us lead boring lives! All we do is talk about movies, rather than star in them! It’s OK for some, Foxx!!!
I digress. Netflix has released some stills from the movie.
