Jennifer Connelly made an impact in Top Gun: Maverick, proving she has transitioned from being a childhood sweetheart of many male Outposters of a certain age into a very fine woman.
Ana de Armas remains impossible not to be at least a little bit in love with.
Now the two of them are potentially set to team up on screen for some espionage action.

Connelly and de Armas are, according to a report in Deadline, in negotiation to join Gideon Raff’s new project for Apple. Raff wrote Homeland.
This new project is called Safe Houses, and is an eight-episode thriller based on the novel by Dan Fesperman.

Following the killing of a high-ranking CIA officer in Madrid, the fugitive Spanish agent accused of the crime (de Armas) and the US Ambassador (Connelly) investigate the murder from opposite sides.
In the process, they unravel a vast conspiracy that could upend the balance of global power, because of course it could.
Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) is set to direct the opening episodes, with Raff serving as showrunner while directing other episodes.
