Death Among the Pines stars Shepka, Nicolette KcKeown, Stephen Kerr, Olly Bassi, Nico Palmieri, Devin McCallum, and Gary Collinson. Shepka directs and writes with Tom Jolliffe. The story:
During a storm, Angela shelters a stranded stranger at her cottage. When police arrive hunting an escapee, she realizes the connection – but the situation may not be what it seems.
I’ve reviewed Death Among the Pines, and it’s a solid indie movie. I still love the ending, which I won’t spoil, but it’s good, very good.
Shepka’s previous movie, The Baby in the Basket, was again a great indie horror. His newest movie has just wrapped production, a reboot of Robert the Doll. I’ve not heard of the original franchise, but it looks like fun, in a horror way. From the press release.
