It’s Monday again, and you know what that means? Memes: the best, hand-selected memes from around the internet. We spend hours trawling different websites, finding the best memes we can. It’s not like we just make a random list and post them out of boredom. That’s not what Mondays are all about.
Did you see anything good over the weekend? Or did you see anything that you need to moan about?
I don’t have a moan this Monday, as such, more of a longing for the past. I’ve said this before, but man, we had it good in the 80s. I’ve been rewatching some 80s ‘sword and sorcery’ movies, which could be described as ‘blood and boob’ movies. They had cheap effects, lots of blood, and the occasional flash of a boob, both boobs if you were lucky. I remember the days of renting movies like this, usually from a friend’s older brother.
You could pick up a VHS video, one with the best-looking cover, and hope you struck gold. Sure, you had the big movies with Arnie, Sly or Bruce. However, it was the cheap ‘straight-to-video’ movies that were fun: C.H.U.D., Basket Case, and one I saw this weekend, Conquest. It was terrible, but so much fun. Those were the days.
