Christmas is only 2 months away. Have you done your Christmas shopping? More importantly, have you got your tickets for Dune Part 3?
I’ll admit, I haven’t yet, but I plan to get them. I have said it before, I only know the 1984 version of Dune and the new movies from Denis Villeneuve. Not the books.
So far, my heart still loves the original Lynch version, however, the spectacle of the new movies is amazingly impressive.
Dune 3 will all be new to me, so seriously, no spoilers. It keeps saying it’s the ‘epic conclusion’, as we know Villeneuve is going to Bond, so he’s going to finish this trilogy.
However, you know someone, somewhere, will pick up the mantle and carry it on. How many trilogies have been spoiled when they carry on?
Going in blind to Dune 3 will be a nice experience. Most of the time, when you know nothing about a movie, you’re pleasantly surprised. I hope this is the case with this one. And, as I said, the spectacle of the others is a ‘big screen’ experience.
That’s enough of me prattling on – here is the final trailer for Dune Part 3.
Dune Part 3 will be in cinemas on the 18th of December. Same time as Avengers: Doomsday. What do you think will happen? Will both make a gazillion dollars? Or will one do well, and the other flop?
