One of the very few delights of watching TV in the past few years was discovering Gangs Of London from UK Sky TV. The ultra-violent, blood-soaked story of a power struggle in the London underworld was brilliant fun and great drama. Filming is underway now on Season 3, as Andrew Koji (Warrior), T’Nia Miller (The Fall of the House of Usher) and Richard Dormer (Game Of Thrones) all join the cast.

Joe Cole and Sope Dirisu return in the lead roles, and the new season begins with ex-undercover cop turned gangster Elliot now operating as a top-level crime lord alongside the Dumanis.

Koji in Warrior

When their shipment of cocaine is spiked, resulting in the deaths of hundreds all over London, it brings unwanted attention from the authorities. The ripple effects – both personal and professional – will have devastating consequences for everyone from the Wallaces, to Luan, to Lale and the street gangs.

When this is revealed as a targeted attack old rivalries explode. Who did it and why? Koji plays an unnamed assassin key to the central mystery of the season. Miller portrays the new Mayor of London. Dormer plays Cornelius Quinn who returns from the past to awaken those old rivalries.

Also returning is Michelle Fairley as Marian Wallace, Lucian Msamati as Ed Dumani, Brian Vernel as Billy Wallace, Pippa Bennett-Warner as Shannon Dumani, Narges Rashidi as Lale, Asif Raza Mir as Asif Afidi, Orli and Eri Shuka as Luan and Mirlinda Dushaj, Jahz Armando as Saba, and Fady Elsayed as Faz.

The third season is being directed and executive-produced by Kim Hong Sun (Project Wolf Hunting), with Peter McKenna serving as the lead writer. The show was created by Gareth Evans (The Raid) and Matt Flannery.
