GODZILLA: MINUS ZERO Details

Finally, something to look forward to. Godzilla: Minus One came out of nowhere and pleasantly surprised us all, as it was good. It was a Godzilla movie with heart, and not just the equivalent of watching grown men bashing their toys together. I’m looking at you, Hollywood.

Made on a meagre budget of about $15 million, it grossed over $115 million worldwide at the box office. It also won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects. Again, this is how it’s done, Hollywood.

With such a success, a sequel was ordered and will be hitting the cinemas in November 2026. It will be on the same day as Godzilla first hit the big screen in 1954. It’s nice it’s on the anniversary, but annoying it’s so far away in the year.

Takashi Yamazaki directed Godzilla: Minus One and will be directing the sequel. At the moment, the plot is unknown, but I remember the end of Minus One being really good and ending on a great cliffhanger for a sequel.

It’s also not known if Godzilla will be joined by any other monsters, but here’s hoping. Well, as long as it’s not King Kong, but someone cool like Rodan, Hedorah, or King Ghidorah.

There have been about 30 versions of Godzilla over the years, and it all started with a ‘man in a suit’. #spoiler

However, even after all this time, it’s good to see someone can still make a solid movie about Godz.
