GORILLA GRODD Spotted On Set

I’ve not read that many comic books, only the Beano and the Dandy. Man, the title of the Dandy hasn’t aged well. However, when it comes to bigger comics, like DC, there are a lot of characters I know nothing about, like Gorilla Grodd.

Gorilla Grodd has been all over social media for the last couple of days, so I did some research.

This character is a DC supervillain. Created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, Grodd first appeared in The Flash #106, in May 1959, but has also fought Batman and Superman.

Grodd is a super-intelligent gorilla who gained his powers from a strange meteorite’s radiation. He is able to control people’s minds, like telling them to get him bananas.

There is a new series on the way from DC, entitled The People vs Gorilla Grodd and shooting is underway, so some videos of Grodd on set have appeared online.

Now here is Grodd ‘getting down with the kids’ singing Party Rock Anthem.

From what I can piece together from the comments, people aren’t happy.

This looks ridiculous. Gorilla Grodd is supposed to be a savage, not whatever this is.

James Gunn has to be a Marvel plant to destroy DC from the inside.

Who thought this was a good idea?

And my personal favourite.

Have DC watched She-Hulk and wanted to see if they could make something worse? I have no idea – is this bad? What are your thoughts?
