Shooting has just completed on the upcoming live-action Masters Of The Universe movie. He-Man / Prince Adam actor Nicholas Galitzine has shared the best look we have had of the character in his usual garb as part of a social media post to highlight the end of filming.
Galitzine said in the post:
“Well, that’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe. It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. It’s been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it. There’s not much I can show you, but I am so proud of the movie we’ve made. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew for all your hard work.”
The rumors are that this version will be more faithful to the look and feel of the 1980s cartoon and toyline. This image would hint at that.
Bumblebee director Travis Knight is behind the camera, shooting from a script by Chris Buttler. Camila Mendes is Teela with Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms and Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress.
Others starring include James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
In this version, Prince Adam will have been deserted on Earth away from Eternia. When his home planet is threatened by the evil forces of Skeletor, he is tracked down and returned to Eternia, where, to fight Skeletor, he will have to uncover the ancient mysteries of his planet and harness the power.
The movie will now be in post-production and will require a ton of VFX.
Amazon MGM Studios, Escape Artists and Mattel Films will release Masters Of The Universe in cinemas on June 5th 2026.
