Indie Movie BEAT SWEET HEART

A little while back, we had details of an indie movie called I Want to Live on Mars. It looked interesting, but I haven’t had the chance to see it yet. Anyway, the director, Mariya Somova, contacted us about her newest movie, Beat Sweet Heart.

Somova says that the new movie is:

… is a coming-of-age transformational short horror film about a food disorder, coming out and female empowerment. After a random attack a young woman discovers hidden power fuelled by an excessive hunger for human hearts. It’s a little gnarly, a little spooky, but also so much fun.

She is running a campaign to raise money for the movie. There is already an investor, but then need more investors to complete it. You can find more information on their Seed and Speak page.

I will warn you, the video on the page about Beat Sweet Heart is a little tongue-in-cheek. At least I think it is, it’s, umm, interesting. Because I haven’t seen I Want to Live on Mars, I’m not sure of the director’s style.

The Last Movie Outpost is trying to help out with indie movies more. A lot of the time, the movies are more interesting than Hollywood. OK, they can be hit and miss, but we’re trying to give them all a fair crack of the whip.

I will see I Want to Live on Mars and report back. It’ll be intestesting to see how Beat Sweet Heart will turn out.
