Jackie Chan Back For ARMOUR OF GOD 4

The early Jackie Chan movies were the best! Action, comedy, and stunts that ended people up in the hospital- they were great. I have fond memories of discovering movies like Project A, Wheels on Meals, and Armour of God. I mean, check out this awesome fight.

Man, I love Chan’s movies from the 80s. Armour of God is a great movie, which spawned two sequels. I know I’ve seen the second movie, but not sure about the third; I will have to track it down.

Armour of God came out in 1986, then the sequel, Operation Condor, in 1991. The third movie, Chinese Zodiac (2011) was the third movie, but didn’t have Armour of God in the title. It did see Chan back as Asian Hawk.

Obviously, Chan is much older now. He was 32 when he made the first movie, so he’s now 72. Somehow, I don’t see him jumping around like a spring chicken; I’m only 50 and can’t get out of a chair without making a noise.

This new movie is directed by Robert Kun, who is known for doing the stunt choreography for Wanted, with Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy. The story for this newest instalment is:

The film sees Jackie Chan return as Asian Hawk, who gets dragged back into the chaos when a global hunt begins for an ancient artifact called the Tumar, with more than $20 million up for grabs.

The new movie is entitled Armour of God 4: Ultimatum, and a set photo has been released.

What do you think? I mean, Chan is looking good, but he’s a pensioner now.
