Interview with Lance Guest

Most of the time, writing for the Last Movie Outpost is a slog, a chore and generally unappreciated by you lot. I joke, I joke, I do enjoy writing articles, reviewing movies and seeing the feedback. Now and then, we get an interview, like today, which is with Lance Guest.

Recently, I interviewed Catherine Mary Stewart about The Last Starfighter. Catherine was the nicest person you could ever meet, such a smiley and positive person. She was also nice enough to get in contact with her co-star, Lance Guest and bug him about an interview with me.

Catherine said to Lance, and I quote:

You should really do this, he’s a really nice guy!

I’m going to have that engraved on my tombstone. Anyway, Lance agreed to do an interview with me about one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made: The Last Starfighter.

As I said before, I believe it’s one of the best movies, as I grew up with it, watching it over and over again, on Super 8mm and later, VHS. Getting the chance to interview the Alex Rogan was awesome.

Sadly, Lance cannot talk for very long, having issues with his throat. Initially, I was going to interview him a few weeks ago, but he couldn’t make it. We arranged it more recently, and he was fine to chat.

Lance can only talk for about 15 – 20 minutes. I did push the time a little, but he loves to talk and I love to listen. I really appreciated his time and effort. Enough from me, here is an exclusive interview with Lance Guest, who played Alex Rogan in The Last Starfighter.

What an amazing guy, really friendly and humble, I could have chatted for hours with him. The two interviews are going to be combined into an article about the making of The Last Starfighter and a video later on.
