Marvel Circles GHOST RIDER Villain

Last summer, Marvel announced that Shawn Levy would be directing a new Ghost Rider movie, and he would be joined by his Star Wars: Starfighter star Ryan Gosling.

The project is now building, with news that Dune: Part Three cinematographer Linus Sandgren will serve as director of photography, and plans to shoot on film rather than digitally. Starfighter writer Jonathan Tropper is also on board.

Now, The Hollywood Reporter claims that they have an actor in mind for the villain role. Heated Rivalry breakout Connor Storrie is in active talks.

While the version of Ghost Rider to be depicted in the movie is not known, everybody assumes Gosling will play Johnny Blaze. There is no word yet on which villain Storrie could play. Mephisto has featured as a foil in the comics, but that role has already been taken in the MCU by Sasha Baron Cohen. Other Ghost Rider villains include  Blackheart, Zarathos, Nightmare, and Jack o Lantern.

Ghost Rider will shoot in New York in the New Year, with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Levy and Gosling as producers. A July 28th 2028 release date is planned.
