We’ve had Star Wars Day, it’s now Monday, Revenge of the Fifth. I like to put on my favourite Star Wars outfit and run around the house with a lightsaber in hand. Man, that sounds so wrong. The wife likes to dress up for me as well, she said yesterday she was going to put on my favourite Star Wars character outfit. I snuck upstairs and went into the bedroom and said:
“Jabba the Hutt isn’t my favourite!”
She said she hadn’t put the outfit on yet and was still naked. Anyway, last night, I found out the sofa was really comfortable. For a Monday morning, though, my back really hurts.
Now that it’s Monday, hopefully you had something fun to watch over the weekend. We gave you some good suggestions, but what did you end up watching? Something new, something old, something good or bad?
Yesterday, I watched the Star Wars OT, which was the despecialised special edition fan edits. It meant the original cut, but without Greedo shooting first or Vader shouting Nooooo, when he kills the Emperor. The Blu-ray special edition is a horrible cut, there’s so much more emotion when Vader says nothing.
Watching the OT again was nice, they are great movies, they pushed the boundaries of SFX, the story is good, and the characters are great. The last 45 minutes of Return of the Jedi are probably my most favourite piece of cinema. Lando flying the Falcon, in and out, of the Second Death Star, is just awesome!
