It’s a Bank Holiday in the UK this Monday, which means everything is still open, but all prices are twice the price.
When I was a lad, everything was shut on a Bank Holiday. Then again, when I was a lad, I was outraged at the use of the word ‘Damn’ in Gone with the Wind.
How is your Monday going? Did you have a nice weekend? Did you watch anything good?
Since F1 is now on VoD, I sat down to watch it again. I saw it in the cinema and gave it a solid 5 stars.
Watching it again now, I stand by that decision. F1 is one of those rare things in Hollywood these days; it’s good.
I also ended up watching the new David Cronenberg movie, Shrouds.
A really clever concept, but it didn’t have an ending. Basically, Vincent Cassel lost his wife, but buried her with a shroud made out of cameras. That way, he can watch her decompose, which makes it easier to let her go.
As I said, the idea was good, but when it ended I was felt like it was an advertising break, not the end of the movie. That whacky Cronenberg.
