The best thing about Mondays is that it means only another 5 days to the weekend. If Monday were a movie, it would be directed by Tommy Wiseau, produced by Kathleen Kennedy, and written by any of the new execs in Hollywood. Actually, Monday is a lot of movies these days; no one wants it, but it’s all we have.
Never fear, dear Outposters, as we give you a place to love, laugh, and be free of the demands of Monday. We have memes aplenty, and we’ll let you have a little moan about the weekend. Did you watch something fun? Was it something awful? Or did you find something on our Weekend watch list?
For my Monday moan, I did end up watching The Surfer with Nick Cage. I will review it, but it was one of those interesting movies that couldn’t stick the ending. Also on my watchlist was Possession (1980), which I thought was a horror classic, with Sam Neill. I saw it Friday, I still have no idea what I watched. It is a mix of a badly acted, surreal drama to a brilliant piece of art. It’s now Monday, and I’m still confused.
In my insomnia, I did end up watching two indie horror movies, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and They Look Like People. The first one wasn’t bad, They Look Like People was a very clever movie, a real hidden gem.
Share with us this Monday what you watched. In the meantime, enjoy some memes, have a laugh, and settle into the week like one would settle into the bosom of a loved one.
