Musk To Take Paramount Stake?

Elon Musk was beloved by one side of the political divide when he was saving the planet through pioneering electric vehicles. Then he made just a little bit too much money, and appeared within the Trump administration, and suddenly he was the Devil incarnate. He’s still the fantastically wealthy Devil incarnate, and many other businesses would like a slice of his cash.

According to online reports from several sources, executives at Paramount Skydance were discussing seeking out the SpaceX and Tesla CEO to take a potential stake in the studio as the Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition clears more hurdles.

Paramount

The reports say that Musk is one of a group of wealthy potential investors that Paramount could sound out to inject more capital into their operation. Paramount CEO David Ellison has a link to Musk via his father. Oracle founder Larry Ellison invested $1 billion in Musk’s deal to buy X / Twitter.

Larry is already in the mix on the Warner Bros. deal as he has provided personal guarantees worth $46 billion towards the equity financing for the deal.

As we reported earlier in the week, Paramount has settled on a deal with the states that were blocking the deal.

Mus remains the largest shareholder of Tesla and SpaceX, and has been the wealthiest person in the world since 2025, and briefly became the only trillionaire (in terms of US dollars and number systems) in June 2026. As of September 2026, Forbes estimates his net worth to be US$964 billion.
