Fresh from the veer into darker territory with Clayface, DC Studios has begun active development of a new Constantine movie.
A new adaptation of the Hellblazer comics will be written by Francis Galluppi (Evil Dead Wrath).
The character of John Constantine was created by Alan Moore in 1985 and was a British private detective with a focus on the occult.

The 2005 version switched him to American and set it in Los Angeles, with Keanu Reeves playing the title role, and Francis Lawrence directing. For years there was talk of a sequel and Reeves was keen, but nothing movies.
Matt Ryan played the role in an NBC series in 2014, before the character joined Legends of Tomorrow.
If I were a betting man, I would expect them to follow the Clayface model, keeping it lower key and lower budget.
