Nobody came out of nowhere and surprised us all. Well, Hutch is back, ruining his own vacation in a new trailer.
Nobody 2 stars Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Colin Hanks, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, John Ortiz, RZA, and Sharon Stone. Tiomo Tjahjanto is directing this time around, with a script from Umair Aleem, Derek Kolstad, and Odenkirk. Kolstand wrote the original Nobody, as well as John Wick’s 1, 2 and 3. The story is:
Suburban dad Hutch Mansell, a former lethal assassin, is pulled back into his violent past after thwarting a home invasion, setting off a chain of events that unravels secrets about his wife Becca’s past and his own.
Odenkirk is back as Hutch Mansell, the ‘family man’ with a history of violence. The new movie is set 4 years after the original. After the first movie, Hutch is still working as an assassin, so he needs a vacation.
While there, Nobody gets himself into trouble and then all hell breaks loose. He gets into a minor fight with some local bullies and ends up the target of the local, bloodthirsty crime boss, Sharon Stone.
Odenkirk spent two years training for the first Nobody movie, and it showed, as it was satisfying to see him doing most of his own stunts. You could see it was him giving and taking every punch.
He also said that Nobody was an extension of this titular character from Better Call Saul, he explained:
“My hope is we get to do a trilogy, and he ends up with nothing. He destroys everything he loves.”
Nobody 2 will be in cinemas on the 15th of Aug.
