Ahhh Warner Bros. Don’t ever change. The problem with the DCEU, why it utterly failed vs. the MCU, which was in its golden age back then, was because they tinkered it into a confusing mess.
They simply couldn’t help themselves, as various factions at the studio dipped their oars in, rowing in different directions.
That’s how you get things like the hilariously stillborn Rock revolution that caught Cavill in the crossfire, two Batmen, and the studio fighting the parent company over the Snyder Cut.
What a clusterfuck.
It seems they have learned nothing, as they are doing it again. The Batman still made money, and Penguin was very strong. s a result, they are going to muddy the waters even further.
Post-Supergirl, DC Studios leadership Peter Safran and James Gunn may be too wounded to wield enough power to stop the meddling suits
And so, DC Studios is potentially going to be forced to develop a TV series focusing on the Batman villain Poison Ivy, but not for the DCU.

No, instead it will be part of the Matt Reeves universe built around The Batman.
This is according to reports from scooper Jeff Sneider via The Hot Mic podcast.
As that world leans more into the grounded than the DCU with Lanterns and Superman, it means some changes have to be made.
This version of Ivy would not be the mystical, plant-controlling freak from the comics.
She would, instead, be a botanist who, driven into an environmentalist fury, becomes an eco-terrorist with a deep knowledge of weaponised plant toxins.
This would fit directly into The Batman universe.
It is not hard to imagine that there could be significant tension inside DC Studios between what looks like two competing worlds developing.
Same as it always was, then.
