I am not gonna lie. I was disappointed with the Road House remake. It looked like it had everything going for it, from the cast to the locations, but it just felt… empty.
A lot of what made the original into some kind of cheesy-as-hell classic seemed to have been forgotten, from the wonderfully distinct supporting characters and the small-town focus to the hilarious cod philosophy and “warrior monk” side of Dalton’s character. As a result, it was just a beat ’em up.

Before this project can start, Ritchie has re-teamed with his stars Henry Cavill and Eliza Gonzales from The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare for In The Grey., which also stars Gyllenhaal. A second series of The Gentlemen is planned, and The Fountain Of Youth is coming to Apple TV+.
MobLand, starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan has just started on Paramount+ too. He’s a busy boy. Could he fit in the Road House sequel?
Ritchie is finding a steady home at Amazon MGM. With a resume that is getting wider and more varied, could he find himself in the running to direct the new James Bond project?
