Actor, comedian, podcaster and TV personality Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault.
The star of Get Him to the Greek, and the remake of Arthur, who also provided a voice in the Despicable Me movies, had been charged with seven counts: three of rape, three of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault.

He was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault, and not guilty of the others.
The seven charges dated from 1999 to 2009 and concerned six women. They are all entitled to lifelong anonymity.
Now the verdict has been delivered, it can now be reported that Brand is being investigated over further rape allegations made by two women.
He was remanded in custody this afternoon at Southwark Crown Court in London in front of his wife. This means he was led directly to prison from the court, and can expect a significant custodial sentence from his sentencing hearing on Monday.
Legal experts say he could be sentenced for up to 15 years, depending on the judge and the circumstances around each of the guilty verdicts.
