Salem's-Lot

SALEM’S LOT Trailer Is Online

We’ve talked about Salem’s Lot a lot, including some new images recently. Well, there’s now a trailer online.

I’m going to be honest; it looks good. The look of old-time Middle America is good, it looks creepy, I’m willing to give it a chance.

It’s been on the shelf for a while as it was first supposed to be released in Sept 2022. At least we are getting to see it, I just hope the long wait is a good thing and not a bad thing. James Wan and Michael Clear are producing the movie.

The story of Salem’s Lot is:

Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant.

This is the third adaptation of Stephen King’s novel. The original was from 1979 and starred David Soul. The kid at the window is still one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen. There was another version in 2004, starring Rob Lowe.

I think I have seen the 2004 one, but I cannot be sure. I would like to see it, but I think I’m going to give this 2024 version a go first. Then do 2004 and then enjoy the 1979 version another go.

Salem’s Lot is streaming on Max on 3rd Oct, which is only a few weeks away now.
