Deep South vampire tales seemingly just work, like something came over from the old countries down there. Can Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) and his Creed star Michael B.Jordan successfully put their spin on it with Sinners?
Sinners follows twin brothers (both played by Michael B. Jordan) who return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. That greater evil? Vampires, led by current Bond rumor subject Jack O’Connell.
The film co-stars Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Coogler began developing the genre film through his production company Proximity Media by January 2024, when Jordan was cast. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired distribution rights the next month following a bidding war.
Sinners hits cinemas, including IMAX screens, on March 7th.
