What do you get when the world’s most “Bro” director decides to make a movie based in the world’s most “Bro” sport? The ultimate “Bro” movie probably. A movie so “Bro” I am surprised the budget isn’t being paid 100% in Bitcoin. That is how “Bro” this potentially is. Zack Snyder is going to make a UFC movie, and for some reason it feels so right.
While out promoting the director’s cut release Rebel Moon (remember them?) Snyder said his next film was going to be smaller scale and not FX-heavy. Step forward people who punch each other then like a roll-around and a big, strong cuddle, as according to a report in World of Reel Snyder’s next project is set in the UFC.
Snyder co-wrote (uh-oh!) the screenplay with Zach Baylin (King Richard). Zack and Zach. Damn, the “Bro” is off the charts. Suddenly I feel the need to wear a hoodie and basketball pants with socks pulled up.
It is not a Netflix gig. It is being planned as a theatrical movie. The UFC is involved and it will take place in Las Vegas and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rumors swirl that Adam Driver is being sought for the lead.
A movie about punching… with that nose? Yeah, good luck with that Bro! Also, Warrior remains undefeated in the realm of UFC movies.
Why am I craving a protein shake all of a sudden?
