Yay, it’s the weekend, the time of no work, more beer, and hopefully a movie or seven. There’s nothing worse than scrolling through your favourite streaming service and finding nothing to watch.
Never fear, the Last Movie Outpost has you covered. We have a list of movies, old and new, which is bound to give you something to enjoy over the weekend.
- Weekend at Bernie’s – Movie – It’s funny and has Catherine Mary Stewart in it.
- Rust – Movie – See our review here.
- Mysterious Island (1961) – Movie – An interesting classic.
- Nope – Movie – Interesting concept, but boring and stupid.
- Out of the Furnace – Movie – Very good thriller with Christian Bale.
- Soldier (1998) – Movie – Paul W S Anderson and better than remembered.
- The Haunting (1953) – Movie – Still one of the best horror movies ever made.
- Andor – TV Series – Stark is still loving this. Some say the best Star Wars since ROTJ.
- Big Trouble in Little China – Movie – Still utter brilliance!
- Casablanca – Movie – First time in a long time, and what a brilliant movie.
- Luckiest Man in America – Movie – See our review here.
- Nomads (1986) – Movie – Early Pierce Brosnan thriller, by John McTiernan.
- The Road to Patagonia – Documentary – See our review here. I have an interview with Matty, the director and star of this, on Monday.
That should keep you going over the weekend. Anything there tickle your fancy? If not, what are you watching? Are you going to venture to the cinema maybe?
Fountain of Youth is now online, so I might give it a watch. It’s nice to see Jim doing well after leaving Dunder Mifflin.
