Something For The Weekend

Another weekend is about to begin, and you are ready. You don’t have to go to work; you can drink a few beers, and there are movies to watch. It’s what the weekends were made for.

The worst thing is finding something to watch over the weekend. Well, have an interesting list courtesy of what we have been watching at LMO Towers.

  • Les Patterson Saves the World – Movie – It would never be made today, as it’s offensive and funny, very funny.
  • House of Wax – Movie – The remake, and worth watching just to see Paris Hilton die.
  • Miss Sloan – Movie – Jessica Chastane plays a powerful woman in a business suit and red lipstick. It was, umm, great.
  • When the Wind Blows – Animation – Designed to mentally scar everyone in the UK; if you know, you know.
  • Red Dwarf: The Promised Land – TV movie – Basically a very long episode of Red Dwarf.
  • Highlander – Movie – The original, which is still great, but I’m looking forward to the update on the way.
  • Welcome to Wrexham – TV show – Still very interesting and heartfelt.
  • High Society – Movie – A classic with Bing, Sinatra, and Grace Kelly.
  • Fast X – Movie – Put on for background noise, but still fun to watch.
  • Mosquito Coast – Movie – The original with Harrison Ford, and still a brilliant movie.

  • Stand by Me – Movie – Still a great watch, as we all had adventures like that as a kid.
  • Ben-Hur – Movie – The original, and a film, not a movie.
  • Grizzly (1976) – Movie – Classic killer bear rampage, and good fun.
  • Supergirl – Movie – The new one; it was perfectly average.
  • The Ugly Stepsister – Movie – The Cinderella story, but not for kids, and a very, very good movie.
  • C.H.U.D. – Movie – Classic 80s horror and still great.

There you go, that’s your weekend sorted. What are you watching?
