Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is back, in Brand New Day. The trailer has just dropped, and here it is.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Marvie Jones III. Destin Daniel Cretton is the director, with Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers penning the script.
Cretton is known for writing and directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. All I remember about that movie was how much CG was in it; that’s about it. The story for Spider-Man: Brand New World is:
Peter Parker tries to focus on college and leave Spider-Man behind. But when a new threat endangers his friends, he must break his promise and suit up again, teaming with an unexpected ally to protect those he loves.
We had rumours of who the bad guy might be in this new Spider-Man outing, but nothing is confirmed yet.
Holland will be back as Spider-Man in the two new Avengers movies, Doomsday and the other one (I forget the name and can’t be bothered to look it up). So far, Holland has gone down well as Spidey, but will this Brand New Day be more like Brave New World?
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be in cinemas on the 31st July this year.
