We never got a Nicholas Cage Superman movie, so how about a Cage Spider-Man TV series? Yes, we can do that. Check out the trailer for Spider-Noir, coming to Amazon Prime.
So, this looks interesting. Cage as Spider-Man, in a noir setting, this might be good. Spider-Noir stars Cage, Lamorne Morris, Andrew Lewis Caldwell, Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston, Li Jun Li, and Randy Oglesby.
Oren Uziel is the show’s creator. He is also known for writing 22 Jump Street (2014), Shimmer Lake, The Lost City, and both of the Mortal Kombat reboots, from 2010 and 2021.
The story is:
An aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
We first met Spider-Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where we also met Peni Parker and Spider-Ham. A choice was made, and they went down the noir route, not the pig route. There are also some images to share.

Spider-Man Noir is from an alternative universe, first introduced in 2009 in a Spider-Man comic book. It was created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, Carmine Di Giandomenico, and Marko Djurdjević. The character is a grizzled, noir-style detective version of the web-slinger
The series will be released in two versions: one in colour and the other in “authentic black and white”. I can’t imagine people will watch both, maybe just turn down the saturation on the colour version, then you’ve got the best of both.
Spider-Noir will be streaming on the 27th of May.
