Studio Seeks BACKROOMS Leverage

Imagine what life must be like as a Hollywood studio executive? An empty, unfulfilling shell of an existence where you haven’t had an original thought for more than a decade.

All the cocaine and hookers in the world can’t dampen your self-hatred as you realise you simply exist to see whatever trends accidentally take hold, and then you jump aboard the bandwagon to make an increasingly weaker copy again and again and again until you have killed, by incompetence, the very thing you were relying on to fund your bleak, hopeless life.

Imagine waking up every morning knowing the single most innovative thing you will do all day is select your salad dressing at the Polo Lounge.

Hot backroom

Your job description is nothing more than “monkey see / monkey do”.

So it continues, and many Outposters called it. Next up for a vigorous milking are the YouTubers, starting with 21-year-old Kane Parsons.

Backrooms $360 million worldwide from a $10 million budget, so now his horse shall be flogged.

According to a report at Puck News Hollywood is locked in a battle to sign him up. Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, and Sony, are campaigning to sign him up for a Backrooms sequel and several other projects.

A24, who put Backrooms on the big screen, is the frontrunner and there is said to be $65 million in it for a theee year deal.

This is it. Between this and Curry Barker’s Obsession, YouTube is so hot right now.
