Supergirl had a test screening this past weekend, and according to the online rumors, the scores were very strong.
Talk is of Lobo having a much larger, and much more pivotal role than was previously thought.
The tone is also said to be darker than last year’s Superman. Unlike Clark, who has no real memory of Krypton, Kara carries the loss of her home planet much more heavily. She also doesn’t have the advantage of a wholesome upbringing in the Midwest.
As a result she represents a more cynical outlook than her cousin.

DC Studios didn’t lay out for a Super Bowl spot for Supergirl. Instead, they took a regular TV spot across several networks.
The new TV spot hints at more of the plot, and hints at a few new scenes, while introducing what looks like Kara’s first meeting with a young Krypto.
Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) stars in the movie, which is based on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a limited series comic by Tom King that is critically acclaimed.
Supergirl co-stars Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Jason Momoa as Lobo, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze and Alice Hewkin as a Sklarian Raider.
Ana Nogueira penned the script while Craig Gillespie directs. Junkie XL is providing the score.
Supergirl arrives in theaters on June 26th.
If cities on Krypton are being bottled, and knowing what we now know about the villain in Superman: Man Of Tomorrow, can we also expect Brainiac to at least make an appearance?
