Now that location shooting is out in the open on James Gunn’s Superman, it is impossible for the production to keep a lid on everything. Given Gunn’s frequent engagement with fans via social media, you get the feeling he probably doesn’t mind.
In fact Gunn has claimed this was expected, and nothing filmed out here constitutes a real spoiler.
So what can we see? There are shots showing Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardener and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl alongside Corenswet as Kal-El.
Some have speculated that as the uniforms have a similar appearance, including the look the world got last week at Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific, it means they are a team. What appears to be a Lord Tech logo on the suits would mean they work for Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn).
This would fit with story rumors that Superman will come into conflict at some point with some existing meta-humans over his view of what it takes to be a hero and use his powers for good.
Reports also said there were a lot of explosions as a scene involved a number of tanks on the street and scenes included Superman saving a number of members of the public from harm including a little girl and a dog.
Finally, what could be a shot of Superman after taking a big hit was also captured on the set.
Superman is set to open in cinemas on July 11th 2025.
