Tell us something we don’t know, right?! Well… not quite. We are talking about the Sydney Sweeney-led horror film Immaculate which opens in cinemas on March 22nd.
NEON has premiered the first trailer for this, and it’s a red-band. Nice, going hard straight from the start. In the movie, Sweeney plays Cecilia, a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets.
Standard! Sounds like it could partner with the upcoming prequel to The Omen for a double bill of Catholicism and Satanic-related shenanigans.
The movie also stars Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Alvaro Morte (Money Heist), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God).
Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs) is directing. Andrew Lobel wrote the script. Sweeney, David Bernad, Jonathan Davino, Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler produce.
There are quite a few jokes or comments I want to make about Sydney Sweeney in a nun’s habit, but as I am still unsure about this whole afterlife thing, I am going to hedge my bets and stay quiet.
Sweeney will soon be seen in Madame Web before moving on to the Barbarella remake.
