It seems like we’ve been talking about this one forever, but it’s finally here. The Batman: Part II is finally coming…in February 2028.
The sequel to 2022’s The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, has been shunted from its previously announced October 2027 slot by J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi fantasy movie The Great Beyond. How Rude.
That’s six years between instalments. To keep us warm, Warner has released the most teasery of teaser trailers.
Well…not much going on there. Maybe it’s an age thing, but I need a little more than that to get me worked up. Time to Google Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman outfit.
Still, I must admit to a sense of mild excitement about this one. The Batman may have been a little long, and the Riddler’s riddles didn’t add up to much, but it felt like a Batman movie should.
I enjoyed the contrast between Robert Pattinson’s portrayals of Batman and Bruce Wayne. His Batman was brooding, confident and dangerous. His Bruce Wayne was a My Chemical Romance fan.
I know we’re just about done with capeshit movies, but I have a feeling this one can buck the downward trend. Let’s just pretend the Gunnverse doesn’t exist.
