Golden-Globes

The 2024 Golden Globe Nominees Are…

Ahhh, awards season. The occasional bright spot, like Ricky Gervais completely eviscerating a room full of preening Hollywood fuckwits, is usually drowned out in a sea of back-slapping self-importance and smuggery. At least things got mildly interesting when the Golden Globes put themselves in some kind of #MeToo jail and then Will Smith used the Oscars to work out some anger issues stemming from his marriage.

Now, normal service is resumed with tedious inevitability  The nominations for the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced yesterday by the eclectic and dynamic presenting due of Cedric the Entertainer and Wilmer Valderrama.

Golden-Globes
They have really upped the production values on these hostage videos.

In an incredible outbreak of normie-ism, Barbie was the nomination leader with top with ten nominations. This makes it the second most nominated film in the Globes history behind only Cabaret. Inseparable from Barbie as ever, Oppenheimer has eight, and Killers of the Flower Moon has seven.

There is also some TV shit going on, but I can’t be bothered to count those up. A quick glance makes it look like a good year for Succession, The Bear, and The Last Of Us.

The list is way too long to format into our house style, because we are inherently lazy here and not even getting paid. So here it is, freshly copied and pasted from the HFPA press release:
