The trailer is rumored to be imminent, so ahead of that Amazon MGM Studios has released the first poster for their third-time remake of The Thomas Crown Affair.
The original classic starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway back in 1968.
The highly-regarded remake from 1999 starred Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. A sequel to that was talked about for more than a quarter of a century, but never materialised.
The new version stars Michael B. Jordan, who also directs the movie. Co-stars include Adria Arjona, Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk, and Aiysha Hart.
This version is written by Drew Pearce (The Fall Guy) and follows the same basic premise – Thomas Crown (Jordan) is a billionaire who steals a painting, ostensibly just for the thrill of it.
With an insurance investigator (Arjona) on his tail, things get complicated when the two begin a relationship.
Arjona replaces Taylor Russell.
This new version of The Thomas Crown Affair is set to open on March 5th, 2027.
