There have been three Focker movies; Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers. I think I have seen the first one. However, you can’t keep a good trilogy down, so get ready for Focker-in-Law.
It’s been 16 years since the last movie, now everyone has all grown up, well, the little Fockers have. Young Henry is now in his mid-20s and going to marry Ariana Grande.
Fockers In-Law sees most of the main cast back, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson. This time around, young Henry and Samantha are played by Skyler Gisondo and Beanie Feldstein. The story is:
A young man named Henry, son of Greg and Pam Focker, faces family chaos when he decides to marry a strong-willed woman who appears to be his complete mismatch.
As I said, I vaguely remember the first ones, well, apart from the third one. The first two Focker movies were directed by Jay Roach, with the third one helmed by Paul Weitz. The third one, Little Fockers, has the lowest rating so far.
Chances are, Focker In-Law will go on to make millions and that will mean another one after that. How many trilogies are ruined when they carry on? Indiana Jones and Toy Story, I’m looking at you.
Focker In-Law will be in cinemas in November.
