Being the President of the United States is hard work. Abraham Lincoln was so stressed, that he went to relax at Ford’s Theatre. It’s a good job that modern Presidents, like the one Viola Davis is playing in G20, can handle the pressure.
See that, a woman like Davis can handle herself against a trained mercenary twice her size. She does it with the style and grace that isn’t ‘girl bossing’ it all. Such a breath of fresh air.
The plot for G20 is:
Terrorists take over the G20 summit with President Sutton, bringing her governing and military experience to defend her family, company, and the world.
G20 stars Davis, Anthony Starr, Ramon Rodriguez, Elizabeth Marvel, Angela Sarafyan, Clark Gregg and Anthony Anderson. Patricia Riggen directs.
A concept like G20 is really original and nothing like Air Force One, White House Down, or even Independence Day. Those movies are good, but they didn’t have one thing…a black female president. This makes them all inferior from the outset.
The director, Riggen said about G20:
“This is Viola Davis as you’ve never seen her—heroically kicking tons of ass in a global thrill ride. With G20, I wanted to make the kind of classic, edge-of-your-seat action film that I’ve always been such a fan of, but one that draws on the high stakes of our modern and technologically advanced world we live in. I hope to give audiences an experience that will captivate them from start to finish.”
We have never seen Davis like this before. Apart from the The Woman King, a strong, bald and action-packed movie, that wasn’t preachy at all and based on a true story. It was so true, it was almost like it was filmed as it happened. It now looks like Davis has the same career path as Liam Neeson planned out.
Personally, I cannot wait to see G20 on the 1oth of April. You know the Last Movie Outpost will review it and let you know how awesome it will definitely be.
