After years of planning and a long production, Apple Original Films F1 is just months away. Now the Brad Pitt-led Formula 1 racing movie has a full trailer.
F1 follows Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), once Formula 1’s most promising driver of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career.
Thirty years later, he’s a racer-for-hire moving from team to team and from series to series. His former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem) approaches him to come and help his struggling Formula 1 team.
He’ll drive alongside another promising rookie, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). In the Paddock and on the track, Sonny’s past will catch up with him.
F1 co-stars Oscar nominee Kerry Condon, Emmy winner Tobias Menzies, and Emmy nominee Sarah Niles alongside Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion) and has producing powerhouse Jerry Bruckheimer behind it.
Seven-time F1 world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton is also a producer, with filming taking place at actual Grand Prix weekends in full collaboration with Formula 1. It is a sprawling production spanning Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment, and Dawn Apollo Films.
The theatrical run will be managed by Warner Bros. and include an IMAX run. F1 lands on June 27th.
