2025 Emmy Nominations

Did you know that the Emmys were basically created as a PR stunt? The first event was held at an athletics club, and they derive their name from “Immy”, the television industry slang for a TV camera image orthicon tube.

Now, 77 years later, we are still putting up with this. Still, at least it isn’t the Oscars, or the insufferable parade of fuck-trumpets that is the Met Gala.

So, who is up for what this time around? The nominations are out, and Severance leads with 27 nominations. The Outposter infiltration continues with shows like The Penguin (24) and Andor (14) also getting a swathe of nominations.
