A true Hollywood legend is determined to have one final go-around. As that legend is Clint Eastwood, who the hell is going to stop him? The 93-year-old has started work on his Juror #2 in Georgia. Since The Hollywood Reporter named the movie earlier this year, it is now regarded as Eastwood’s final project. The man himself said:
“One last project in order to be able to ride off into the sunset with my head held high.”
WSAV3, a local NBC affiliate, has posted photos of Eastwood at work on 40th Street. The leading star, straight from a Superman audition, Nicholas Hoult can be seen in the shots. Toni Collette, Kiefer Sutherland, Leslie Bibb, and Zoey Deutch round out the cast of Juror#2, which tells the story of a murder trial that presents one of the jurors with a serious moral dilemma. He realizes he killed the victim in a reckless-driving accident. Now he must sway the jury verdict to try to save the innocent defendant, without incriminating himself in the process.
This will be Eastwood’s fortieth film as director. It’s not easy to know where to begin or end with this filmography – Unforgiven, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, American Sniper, The Outlaw Josey Wales, High Plains Drifter, Heartbreak Ridge, Firefox… that is just the start. Damn.
I don’t want it to end, but I want him to enjoy retirement. He’s earned it!
