MIAMI VICE Circles New Crockett & Tubbs

Could the new Miami Vice remake have found it’s new Crockett and Tubbs in the form of two of Hollywood’s “hottest” current stars.

According to a report from Nexus Point News , the production is currently in talks with Glenn Powell and Michael B. Jordan for the two leads.

Top-Gun

Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski will helm, from a script written by Eric Warren Singer and Dan Gilroy (Andor).

James ‘Sonny’ Crockett and Ricardo ‘Rico’ Tubbs are undercover detectives working in Miami’s drugs scene in the mid-1980s.

Jordan

Pastel suits, espadrilles and a company Ferrari Testarossa were their chief weapons.

The project is said to be inspired by the pilot episode and first season of the television series that was produced by Michael Mann.

Mann also directed the 2006 film remake starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx.

Production will begin next year, and Miami Vice is scheduled for an August 6th 2027 release.
